Otè: Pi maryaj
Jalouzi ak jalouzi (Hasad) se klase kòm yon maladi nan kè an. Gen kèk entelektyèl ki di li se youn nan premye peche yo komèt pa Shaytaan, because he disobeyed Allah SWT when asked to make sujood to Adam AS.
Pwofèt SAW te di:
“Beware of jealousy, for verily it destroys good deeds the way fire destroys wood.” [Abu Dawood]
Having hasad for someone is one of the most destructive feelings you can have towards others for several reasons:
- You’re unhappy at what Allah SWT has chosen for someone
- By wishing the other person doesn’t have the happiness you want for yourself, you’re actually PREVENTING yourself from having the same blessings because evil is ONLY ever returned with evil, while good is only ever returned with good
- Having hasad of others means you’re unhappy with the decree of Allah for YOU
- Hasad is one of the highest forms of ingratitude to Allah because you’re basically saying that what Allah has given you isn’t enough
- It causes you to be miserable because you’re focusing on other people’s happiness instead of your own
When the Prophet SAW was asked who are the best of people? He SAW replied: “the one with a clean heart and truthful tongue.” The Sahabas then asked: ‘We understand a truthful tongue, but what does a clean heart mean?pa gen anyen yo dwe fyè de bagay la sèlman ki aktyèlman kenbe yo ale se ego bèbè yo The Prophet SAW replied: “It is the heart of one that is pious, pure, and is free of sin, transgressions, hatred and Hasad.” [Ibn Majah |]
Enteresan, Allah SWT revealed surah Falaq as a means of protection from hasad:
"Di: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn… from the evil of envious when he envies.” [Soorah al-Falaq (113): 1]
This is proof that hasad is an evil thing because Allah SWT has told us it is.
An reyalite, Pwofèt la te di:
“There has come to you the disease of the nations before you, jealousy and hatred. This is the ‘shaver’ (destroyer); I do not say that it shaves hair, but that it shaves (destroys) faith…” [Tirmidi]
Nan yon lòt adit, Pwofèt la te di: “They are enemies for Allah’s bounties.” The Sahaba asked: "Kiyes yo ye?” He SAW said: “Those who envy people for what Allah has given them of Bounty.” [at-Tabaranee]
Allah SWT is the Lord of Provision and therefore, it is SOLELY due to His Mercy that a person is blessed with good things. Madanm ou anvi epi li vle ou vin lidè li, when you have hasad for what Allah has given to others, you are questioning what Allah has given to them.
So if you struggle with this disease of hasad, what’s the best way to deal with it?
atik sa a te trè itil, take the advice of the Prophet SAW who said:
“Do not look to those above you. Look to those below you, as it will more likely remind you of Allah’s favors bestowed on you.” [Bukhari andMuslim]
Lè yo marye ak yon dezyèm fi, madanm sa a ak pitit li yo gen dwa pou yo gen yon pati egal nan richès gason an, pa sèlman pou yo jwenn sipò papa nan edikasyon yo, fanm yo sitou inyore lè yo te tande pale de dezyèm maryaj., make dua for Allah SWT to increase the person you envy in the thing you also want and be sincere in your dua. This has three effects. atik sa a te trè itil, it helps to remove any bad feelings you have in your heart towards that person. Dezyèmman, you’re doing the exact opposite of what Shaytaan wants you to do and that is to hate. Si li renmen w ase li pap panse pou l konsidere yon lòt madanm oswa yon lòt fanm menm pou yon segond., when you make dua for someone, the angels say ‘ameen and ameen for you too’.
Twazyèm, learn to be grateful for the things Allah SWT has given YOU – because gratitude to Allah for what He has chosen for you brings peace and contentment to the heart in such a way that you will never be unhappy for those who have more than you.
Si li renmen w ase li pap panse pou l konsidere yon lòt madanm oswa yon lòt fanm menm pou yon segond., remember that whatever you have is from Allah’s blessings, and whatever you DON’T have is from His wisdom.
May Allah SWT save us all from jealousy and envy ameen!
Pi maryaj – Travay pou w dou!
