안내를 위한 Dua

Asking to be guided in the dunya is one of the most important duas you can ask for yourself. This is because when you want to be guided and you ask for guidance, Allah SWT makes it easy for you to be guided. The beauty of wanting to be constantly guided is that when everyone else is in darkness, you will be illuminated with the truth and guidance will become easy for you.

There are many authentic duas from the Sunnah you can say for guidance, but here we will share two. The first dua is one which the Prophet SAW mentioned MORE than any other dua!

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِى عَلَى دِينِكَ

Yaa Muqallibal Quloob Thabbit Qalbee ‘alaa Deenik.

“Oh turner of the hearts (하나님, the Most High), keep our hearts firm on your religion”

The second dua mentions ‘light’ 자꾸. In the context of the dua, light refers to guidance from Allah. This is because if you are guided by Allah’s light, you can never go astray.

The Prophet SAW used to make the following dua:

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا، وَفِي بَصَرِي نُورًا، وَفِي سَمْعِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ يَسَارِي نُورًا، وَفَوْقِي نُورًا، وَتَحْتِي نُورًا، وَأَمَامِي نُورًا، وَخَلْفِي نُورًا، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا

Allaahummaj’al fee qalbee nooran, wa fee lisaaanee nooran, wa fee sam’ee nooran, wa fee basaree nooran, wa min fawqee nooran, wa min tahtee nooran, wa ‘an yameenee nooran, wa ‘an shimaalee nooran, wa min ‘amaamee nooran, wa min khalfee nooran, waj’alfee nafsee nooran, wa ‘a’dhim lee nooran, wa ‘adhdhim lee nooran, wafal lee nooran, waj’alnee nooran, Allaahumma ‘a’tinee nooran, waj’al fee ‘asabee nooran, wafee lahmee nooran, wafee damee nooran, wa fee sha’ree nooran, wa fee basharee nooran.

오 알라, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. 오 알라, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.
