Arfa: FA'AFETAI I LE OLA LENEI TUSI PA'I! Assalamu Alaikum (wrb) and welcome to the family matters show. I’m the host Sis. Arfa Saira Iqbal and with me today is Br. Hasif And Sis. Anisa is Maasha Allah, an amazing couple who got married on the Pure Matrimony platform and today I would like to interview them, and really ask them about their experiences of Pure Matrimony, how they found it and basically just learn a bit more about them. So I am really excited about this interview and very honoured and privileged that they are here to share their story so, without further do, Assalamu Alaikum!

Sa saunoa Br. Hasif: Wa Alaikkum Salaam(Wrb)

Sis. Anisa: Wa Alaikkum Salaam

Arfa: How are you all? Are you Okay?

Sa saunoa Br. Hasif: Aiga Faaipoipoga Isalama i se Sosaiete Anti-Aiga, we both are really good.

Arfa: Ua lelei. Alhamdulillah I’m really happy that you guys have decided to come on and share your story because I do feel that, ete iloa faaperetania, I think in today’s age people kind of like they lose almost hope you know when it comes to finding a spouse and so it’s really important I feel to really empower, ete iloa faaperetania, the Muslim brothers and sisters those who are single and those who are looking for someone, with stories like they can really help to give them basically just give them some inspirational and some hope Insha Allah. So I’m really excited that you guys are here. But I would love to start, basically, at the beginning, which is, ete iloa faaperetania, tell me a bit more about yourselves and what was your background, basically.

Sa saunoa Br. Hasif: I must first go myself. My name is Hasif. I was 23 at the time I tried Pure Matrimony. o a'u 24. I’m an aerospace engineer. I live in the UK. (Pauses) Ma ioe, really that’s me and I’m not sure really.

Arfa: Oi! Oka! Maasha Allah! You’re very young. O lea, that’s nice. You know, I think you are really very awesome when brothers and sisters get married to, and I think its fantastic Alhamdulilah. What about you Sister?

Sis. Anisa: My name is Anisa. I was also 23 when I first started; looking to get married and my first groom on looking was on Pure Matrimony. And I’m 24 now also. And I’m married.

Arfa: Ah… Lelei! Aiga Faaipoipoga Isalama i se Sosaiete Anti-Aiga! O lea, how long have you both been searching for a partner, pious and doing Pure Matrimony?

Sa saunoa Br. Hasif: O lea, when I started my work is when I had in mind that ok, my next step now is to get married. (Sis. Arfa Comments Yeah at the background) but in terms of a formal intention, I suppose I made that, (pauses) last year, this time, last year.

Arfa: Ua lelei! Ua lelei! O lea,

Sis. Anisa: Myself, my parents probably started looking years ago, ae… I started looking probably about a year ago, now.

Arfa: Lelei! Lelei! InterestingYou said that your parents started looking for you years ago. I think that’s kind of like, I think for girls especially it’s kind of a bog standard, “E leʻi vaʻai mai lava o ia iā te aʻu seʻi vaganā ua ia ʻataʻata…’?

Sis. Anisa: Ioe…

Arfa: Exactly! When I go out to universities, like… moni lava, I’m not even a graduate dear, but.. you’ve got to find, you’ve got to find someone. O lea, yeah I completely get that. But Yeah, I would love to learn more about, the way that you were searching like, what did you guys try before, you know what worked and what didn’t work what was your experience of the whole entire search.

Sa saunoa Br. Hasif: In terms of some, in terms of a broad range of experience, there wasn’t really much on my side, aua, I made my intention this time last year but joined Pure Matrimony and then from there everything went really well…(Sis.Arfa i tua: aua ou te talitonu o le taua o uo moni e aumaia se tasi e latalata atu i le Silisiliese e le mafai ona lava le faamamafa.), that I remember my mindset was open to all avenues, (Sis.Arfa i tua: Ioe). O lea, My parents were looking for me, I was looking on mine, I was looking for myself, I was telling people at the Masjid, if anything in the works, and just like that and my intention was to keep all avenues open

Arfa: I think that was really important what you said that because the one thing that I feel anyways that are lot of especially the younger ones, maasha Allah you are quite young and I always find in my experience when I talk to people who are younger than myself, who were looking to get married is they tend to just stick with one method and then after a bit of time they just kind of like give up, it like over, that’s not working. Then they will move on to something else. You know, I think the wisest thing of all and I always say this to everybody, when you are looking to get married, when you are sincere with your intention about getting married, you really do need to ……
