Abud-Darda' (oko re nigba ti o tabi o padanu awọn ibinu) royin: Ojiṣẹ Olohun (SAW) sọ,
“Ọkan ninu awọn ẹbẹ ti Anabi Dawud AS ni:
Allah ni orisun ti ẹda, wa hubba man yuhibbuka, wal-`amal alladhi yuballighuni hubbaka. Allahumm-aj`al hubbaka ahabba ilayya min nafsi, wa ahli, wa minal-ma’il-baridi
Olohun! I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who love You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your Love. Olohun! Make Your Love dearer to me than myself, my family and the cold water.”
[At-Tirmidhi, 3501]
The reference to the cold water is in the context of heat in the desert. When you’re thirsty and hot, the first thing you crave is cold water to drink. Therefore to love Allah more than this is huge!
Subhan’Allah what a beautiful and blessed dua! Don’t forget to learn, teach others and pass this dua on as it counts as sadaqa jariya!
