Ko e ngaahi ngāue leleí ʻoku faʻa tatau pē ia mo e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku fie maʻu ki ai ʻa e feilaulaú mo e ngāué hangē ko e ʻaukaí mo e foaki ki he ʻofa faka-Kalaisí. Ka ko e taha ʻo e ngaahi ngaue lelei taha te ke lava ʻo fai ke fakamamaʻo ai mei he afi ʻo heli ko hono pukepuke ho ʻelelo!
Tuʻo taha, Muʻâdh b. Naʻe kole ʻe Jabal ki he Palofita ke fakaha kiate ia ha ngaue lelei te ne fakaha ia ki Palataisi pea fakamamaʻo mei he afi ʻo heli. Naʻe fakahā kiate ia ʻe he Palōfitá ʻa e ngaahi ʻulungāanga lelei ʻo e ngaahi ngāue lelei lahi, peá ne pehē mai leva: "Te u fakaha kiate kimoutolu ʻa e makatuʻunga ʻo e ngaahi meʻa kotoa ko ia?"
Naʻe pehe ʻe Muʻâdh: "ʻIo."
Naʻe puke ʻe he Palofita hono ʻelelo pea ne pehe: "Taʻofi koe mei he meʻa ni."
Naʻe fehuʻi ange leva ʻe Muʻâdh: "ʻE Palofita ʻa Allah! Are we held to task for the things that we say?"
The Prophet SAW replied: “May your mother be bereaved of you, O Mu`âdh! Does anything topple people headlong into the Hellfire save the harvests of their tongues?"

ʻI he faiangahala ʻe tahá, naʻe pehē ʻe he Palōfita naʻe MAMATA:
“The Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.”
[Bukhari]
May Allah SWT help us guard our tongues so they will not testify against us on the day of Reckoning -ameen.
