Tokotaha Faʻu Tohí: Mali Haohaoa
Ramadan is the best time of year to make the most of every single good deed, and you should be racing to complete as many good deeds as possible during this month!
Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (ke ʻiate ia ʻa e melinó mo e ngaahi tāpuakí) naʻe pehe ʻe:
Every action a son of Adam does shall be multiplied—a good action by ten times its value, up to 700 taimí. ʻOku pehe ʻe Allah: With the exception of fasting, which belongs to Me, and I reward it accordingly. He, one abandons his desire and food for My sake.
There are two occasions of joy for a fasting person: one when he breaks his fast, and the other when he meets his Lord, and the (kovi) breath (of a fasting person) is better in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk. (Al-Bukhari)
Remember that fasting is not just about abstaining from food and water. It’s a spiritual cleanse as well as a physical one. Your focus should be on setting your personal and worshipping habits for LIFE.
Scientists say it takes around 3 weeks of doing something continuously to develop a good habit. Allah has given us an entire month to perfect our manners, control our anger, control our desires and increase in worship.
Embrace the month ahead and see this as your opportunity to set great habits for life…
Pea manatuʻi, no one is guaranteed tomorrow. This may be your last Ramadan ever, so make it the best Ramadan ever and then CONTINUE the good long after Ramadan has left.
May Allah SWT give us the ability to perfect our worship during this blessed month and live through many beautiful Ramadans and implement these practises throughout our daily life long after this blessed month has passed ameen!
