3 Ngaahi Fakamatalá to Polygamy – Kuo Tali Hoʻo Ngaahi Fehuʻí

  1. M A

ʻoku ou 58 taʻu, my wife is 69 taʻu, has few illnesses and its impossible to have sexual relation, so we just have filial relation of caring and loving each other as good friends and human beings. Legally, we are married, have a married status and good reputation in community. The issue is that I have a young, youthful, romantic, energetic heart, I am very active and energetic sexually. The holy, respectable and noble solution provided by Islam would be polygamy for me today. Ko ia, polygamy is honourable, it is based on real life circumstances and the circumstances are wide and varied, different for every person, kolo, era, geography. There could be circumstances of illness as in my case, there could be circumstances of poverty, there could be circumstances of war, there could be circumstances of immigration and many, many more different. The important consideration about polygamy in Islam must be to avoid zina, sexual sins of adultery. I think Polygamy is a necessity today and to deny it is hypocrisy and even practising fraud and deception.
